PC-Mac-Net FileShare v5.4

PC-Mac-Net FileShare v5.4

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PC-Mac-Net FileShare v5.4 Turns Any PC Into A Remotely Controlled Media Center

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA -- December 25, 2005 -- Lava Software is now shipping
PC-Mac-Net FileShare v5.4, a fast and efficient file sharing and remote
movie and music playback controller which operates over LANs and the
Internet. It can turn almost any old PC into a media center and file
server. Versions are available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

This new version includes remote file and folder searching (by any part or
parts of a name, as well as by media type) and remote media player
functions. Playlists containing a variety of media types can be created,
and subsequent media playback can be controlled remotely over a wired or
wireless LAN or over the Internet. A very wide range of media formats are
supported by the bundled VLC player, such as MP3, Ogg, AAC, Avi, DivX 5,
MPEG4, Quicktime, WMV2, Sorenson and H264. It is a free upgrade for all
users.

The new remote media player functions allow users to convert any of their
existing computer hardware (eg. an old Windows or Linux PC) into a media
center and file server. Computers with TV out capabilities can be used as
TV set-top boxes. Since PC-Mac-Net FileShare can also be used to upload and
download media files over LANs and the Internet (even during media
playback), hard disk storage requirements are minimal.

The Standard Edition is available as a 4 pack (USD39.95), 2 pack (USD24.95)
and 1 pack (USD14.95). The Professional Edition is available as a 50 pack
(USD399.00), 20 pack (USD199.00), 10 pack (USD119.00), 4 pack (USD59.95), 2
pack (USD39.95) and 1 pack (USD24.95). Free upgrades for one year are
included in the price, so the extensive new media control features which
are planned will be free.

The free Lite Edition has 10mb download and 2mb upload file size limits,
time-limited media playback, supports workgroups with up to 3 users, and
can be downloaded now from http://www.lavasoftware.com. The Standard and
Professional Editions have no file size limits, support large workgroups,
and offer additional features. The Standard Edition is limited to music
playback and short movies.
