MACINTOSH DEVELOPERS LEVERAGE ULTRA FAST DESKTOP, CLIENT-SERVER ARCHITECTURE

November 14, 2005. Beaverton, Oregon. Paradigma Software, Inc, makers of
the ultra-fast Valentina 2 Office Server for Mac OS X and Windows, announce
Valentina 2 C++ ADK for Mac OS X. Valentina 2 ADK for Mac OS X allows Apple
xCode developers to build extremely fast and robust database solutions
utilizing the popular Mac OS X development tool and Paradigma technology.

Valentina 2 C++ ADK is available in three editions:

Valentina 2 C++ ADK Standard Edition for Mac OS X ($199). Utilizes the
native API of Valentina to interact with local databases and data stored on
remote servers. The native API is the same across all solutions, allowing
easy porting to and from Valentina solutions with Macromedia Director, REAL
Software's REALbasic, Runtime Revolution and more.

Valentina 2 C++ ADK Extended Edition allows access to over 300 header files
for the purpose of writing custom extensions to Valentina 2. Extended
Edition is included with Valentina Developer Network Professional ($799)
and Enterprise ($999). Users of Valentina C++ SDK 1.x will want to upgrade
to Extended Edition to get an equivalent interace.

Valentina 2 C++ ADK Architect Edition allows access to 95% of the Valentina
2 C++ code base. It is available through special licensing agreement with
Paradigma Software.

Valentina Developer Network (VDN) is Paradigma Software's premier service
for creating and deploying client-server based applications, allowing
distribution of Valentina Embedded Server. The default version of Valentina
Embedded Server can be deployed royalty free. VDN includes two years of
technology upgrades.

Valentina 2 technology includes:

- Abstraction Links. Foreign Keys, fast Valentina ObjectPtrs and Valentina
Binary links for 1:1, 1:M and M:M links.
- Speed Improvements. Valentina 2 Cache, new internal file system and
RAM-based options dramatically increase speed over the already fast
Valentina 1.x technology.
-Unicode. Support for the original 170 encodings plus UTF-16 native
databases, leveraging IBM's superior Unicode framework.
-Valentina XML. Import and export both data and schema.
-Valentina SQL. SQL'92 compliance, Load/Dump, Get/Set Property, and more.
-Simultaneous Data Exchange. Connect to data stored on read-only media such
as CDROMS, Valentina Officer Server on intranets or the Internet, local
databases and more.
-Transparent File Format. Use the same database files on Windows and Mac OS X
clients and servers.
-50 example projects to work with.

Others include new reference integrity, record level locks and 448-bit
encryption.
