OWC offers memory upgrades for 17-inch 'unibody' MacBook Pros

has announced the OWC 8GB DDR3 Memory Upgrade Kit
and 4GB DDR3 Memory Upgrade Modules for the new
Apple MacBook Pro 17-inch "unibody" models.

Pricing for OWC 4GB & 8GB Memory Modules and Kits
for upgrading the MacBook Pro 17-inch 2.66GHz and
2.93GHz models is:

° OWC 4GB DDR3 Memory Module -- US$359.99 (add to
existing 2GB factory chip for 6GB total memory,
an option not offered by the factory);

° OWC 8GB DDR3 Memory Kit -- $697.99 (2 x 4GB
matched memory modules for 8GB total memory)

The new MacBook Pro 17-inch laptops come standard
from the factory with 4GB (2 x 2GB memory
modules) of installed memory, with the only
factory upgrade option of 8GB priced at
$1,000. In addition to the cost savings offered
by OWC Memory upgrades, users also retain their
original factory memory modules that can be sent
to OWC for a current cash back trade-in value of
$19 per 2GB module.

These new OWC Memory Upgrades are fully supported
with free online instructional videos to for user
installation. Videos showing both memory and
hard drive upgrades being installed into a
MacBook Pro 17-inch are available for viewing at
http://eshop.macsales.com/tech_center/video_installation_guides

OWC memory is also available in modules and kits
of up to 6GB for previous MacBook and MacBook Pro
laptops, as well as options from 16MB and up to
