Decompression Freeware for Windows

Watsonville, CA - July 20, 1998- Aladdin Systems ships Aladdin Expander(tm)
version 2.0 for Windows today, the only 32-bit decompression freeware tool
that can expand StuffIt(R)-compressed files, the worldwide Macintosh
compression standard. Aladdin Expander 2.0 also provides free Private
File(tm) decryption and expansion support.

development. "To ease cross-platform communication, we've created Aladdin
Expander to give Windows users access to StuffIt files, the most popular
Macintosh compression format."

Features in Aladdin Expander:
*Joins Macintosh-segmented archives - Aladdin Expander is the only Windows
utility that allows users to join segmented archives created by StuffIt
Deluxe.

*Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 native, long file name and 32-bit support - Windows
users can easily receive and access Macintosh documents.

*Private File decryption capabilities - Now, Mac Private File (Aladdin's
security software) users can send encrypted documents to Windows users who
have Aladdin Expander. Expander decompresses and decrypts the document(s),
provided the correct password is used. Users can easily trade Private File
documents without worrying about access or platform compatibility.

*Support for MIME/Base64 encoded files - Aladdin Expander decompresses and
decodes all Macintosh file formats found online, including StuffIt (.sit),
Compact Pro (.cpt), MacBinary (.bin), and BinHex (.hqx). It also expands
StuffIt self-extracting archives.

Aladdin Expander for Windows is available for free directly from Aladdin's
Web site at http://www.aladdinsys.com/expander, CompuServe, AOL and other
download sites.

Aladdin Expander is copyrighted, free software. It is downloadable as an
executable (.exe) or available on diskette directly from Aladdin for $7.50
(US). It is compatible with Windows 95/98/NT 4.0. Aladdin Expander is year
2000 compliant.
