[NPL] SoundJam MP 1.5.1

[NPL] SoundJam MP 1.5.1

December 16, 1999, Salinas, CA: In keeping with its commitment to remain
the leader in MP3 solutions for the Macintosh, Casady & Greene, Inc. has
released version 1.5.1 of its award-winning player/encoder SoundJam MP.

This 1.5.1 version of SoundJam MP refines a small number of issues which
appeared in SoundJam version 1.5, released last week. SoundJam 1.5.1 fixes
an incompatibility with some third-party software which could cause
problems, including the ability to display text in the on-line help. It
also fixes a problem with streaming from proxy servers and handles
low-memory situations more efficiently.

This version expands on SoundJam 1.5, which sets the standard for
full-featured MP3 player/encoders on the Mac platform. SoundJam provides
excellent all-around encoding capabilities, Variable Bit Rate (VBR)
encoding, Play While Converting (without noticeably slowing down the
conversion process), acceleration for the G4 with Velocity Engine, batch
conversion of CD's and internet streaming.

SoundJam MP has garnered an amazing list of awards, including the Best of
Show Award from Macworld Magazine (Macworld NY 1999), the Hot Pick award
from MacToday Magazine (Macworld NY 1999), and was also awarded the
Freakin' Awesome award by MacADDICT Magazine. SoundJam MP was given top
reviews in Macworld Magazine ("SoundJam MP is hands down the best MP3
player for the Mac."), MacHome Journal Magazine, MacUser UK Magazine, and
Macworld France Magazine. Additionally SoundJam MP is the only Macintosh
solution that ships with the Rio 500 portable audio player.

SoundJam MP has also been named a finalist to receive the Macworld Editor's
Choice Award to be presented at Macworld Expo San Francisco 2000.

This update is available as a free download for current users of SoundJam
MP. To download the update, view the change history, or download the free

SoundJam MP is available for purchase directly from Casady & Greene for

product. The physical product includes 100+ MP3 songs and a 6 ft. stereo
cable.
