Palatine, Illinois-October 6, 1998: Total Integration, Inc. announced the
upgrade of Smart XT, the XTension for use with QuarkXPress versions 3.32
and 4.0 for the Macintosh platform. This XTension automatically allows the
QuarkXPress user to output composite DCS 1 and DCS2 (Desktop Color
Separations), JPEG DCS and one-bit DCS files at full resolution on any
PostScript-based output device. "Smart XT is the ideal product for hardware
manufactures needing DCS support. Any users of Quark XPress dealing with
the many different DCS files will find this extension indispensable" said
Chief Technical Officer, Michael Skurski.

Smart XT 4.0 allows for DCS files to be put into Adobe Acrobat PDF files
providing a solution for DCS to PDF. This version now supports DCS2 files
(5 file and 1 file Desktop Color Separations) saved from within Adobe
Photoshop 2.5 through 5.0 including JPEG DCS files. one-bit, copy dot DCS
files from Creo and Eskofot and DCS files saved from several other sources.
Smart XT version 4.0 includes compatibility with QuarkXPress 4.0.

The Smart XT upgrade to version 4.0 is US$99.00. Smart XT 4.0 SRP is
US$299.00 each. This XTension is for all users of QuarkXPress, especially
hardware manufacturers, design studios, color separators, quick printers,
