Neon Software Announces Side-Grade Program for NetOctopus Users

LAFAYETTE, CA - September 14th, 1998 -- Neon Software is pleased to extend
NetOctopus users a special 50% off side-grade offer to LANsurveyor 4.0, the
MacOS network mapping and reporting application. NetOctopus is now added to
the list of products eligible for a LANsurveyor side-grade program. This
list includes GraceLAN, Status*Mac and Radar.

LANsurveyor logically maps Mac OS networks and displays network objects
(computers, printers, routers, and other nodes) and the relationship
between them. In addition, LANsurveyor also features:

* Up/Down Polling with Email and Pager Alert

* Generate Hardware and Software Inventory Reports for Asset Management

* Query for Software Profiles (INITs, Extensions, Fonts, Version Numbers
and more)

* Query for Network Configuration and Identify Duplicate IP Addresses

* Query for System and Hardware Profiles

* Query for Dantz Retrospect 4.0 Backup Data

* Quit and Launch Applications Remotely

* Simple File Distribution

Special Side-grade Offer - 50% off LANsurveyor 4.0 - Side-grade for only
$150 to the Five-Zone version (SRP $295), or $250 for the Unlimited-Zone
version (SRP $495) with proof of NetOctopus purchase, until October 31st,
