Infowave Ships PowerPrint for Networks

PowerPrint for Networks allows Macs to print to virtually any printer
across an Ethernet network

Burnaby, British Columbia, May 25, 1999: Infowave Software Inc. (IWM)
announced today that it has started shipping PowerPrint for
Networks, the affordable, Macintosh-friendly way for SOHO, education,
and consumer users to print from their Macintosh to virtually any PC
printer over a network. With PowerPrint for Networks almost any
printer becomes a Macintosh network printer.

PowerPrint for Networks combines Infowave's award-winning suite of
PowerPrint printer drivers, a fast 10/100BaseT print server, and a
printer cable, to provide Ethernet network printing connectivity from
a Macintosh to over 1600 inkjet, laser and specialty PC-printers.
Infowave's PowerPrint for Networks is an ideal solution for:

* Sharing a printer - whether you have a Mac network or mixed
environment with Macs and PC1s, PowerPrint for Networks makes sharing
a low cost, non-Postscript printer into an Ethernet network easy and
affordable.

* Printing on a mixed network - PowerPrint for Networks
supports most common network environments including Mac OS, Windows
NT, Windows for Workgroups, Unix and Novell.

* Using specialty printers - PowerPrint for Networks expands
the choice of specialty printers available to Macintosh users,
including impact printers as well as high-speed form and label
printers.

"The new products Apple has introduced over the last year - iMac,
PowerBook G3 and Power Macintosh G3 - have inspired developers to
bring out innovative products," said Clent Richardson, Vice President
of worldwide developer relations at Apple. "Products like Infowave's
PowerPrint help make Macintosh an even better network citizen and
confirm to our customers that Macintosh is the best platform choice."

"More and more, SOHO and education are using networks to share
printer and other peripherals," says Kevin Jampole, Vice President of
Sales and Marketing for Infowave. "PowerPrint for Networks makes it
easy for non-technical people to get their Macintosh connected to PC
printers they may already have."

PowerPrint for Networks joins Infowave's family of award-winning
PowerPrint products including PowerPrint USB-Parallel and PowerPrint
Serial-Parallel. The PowerPrint family gives Macintosh users the
freedom to print to over 1600 PC-compatible printers.
