"Spell Check" NetMechanic's Newest Free Service

Spelling Power Tool Will Polish Any Web Sites' Professional Image

Huntsville, AL - NetMechanic (www.netmechanic.com), a leading web
site maintenance service, has just announced the launch of a new FREE
service that will put an end to embarrassing web site typos.
NetMechanic Spell Check is a web "robot" that will search any web
site for mistakes. Users just visit the NetMechanic web site, type in
the URL of a home page and the work is done. The NetMechanic web
"robot" scans the site for spelling errors and mails out a report of
its findings.

"Nothing is more embarrassing than a spelling mistake on a web site.
Web sites are often the 'first impression' of a company and spelling
errors that are simple to correct leave web site visitors with a less
than professional impression of the company," said Tom Dahm,
NetMechanic's Chief Technical Officer.

NetMechanic makes no changes to the web site. Instead, Spell Check
scans the web site line by line, checking even the fine print of the
page text. Even the contents of key HTML tags such as the TITLE tags
and ALT tags and images are carefully scrutinized. Upon completion,
Spell Check produces a report detailing each misspelled word,
identified by line number and accompanied by a list of suggested
spellings for each mistaken word. This process can be done on any
size site for up to 200 pages at a time.

Completely Customized

NetMechanic Spell Check recognizes that you may have jargon unique to
your web site. Spell Check is web savvy, understanding common
Internet terms such as "HTML" and "CGI." Software terminology is also
no stranger to NetMechanic. Furthermore, Spell Check even allows you
to build your own custom dictionary and include words that aren't
found in a standard dictionary but may be standard in your industry.
This avoids flagging words other spell checkers would ordinarily tag
as misspelled. To create this custom feature, all you have to do is
create a file on your web site containing a list of words and give
the NetMechanic robot the URL for that file.

More about NetMechanic

NetMechanic's online services are targeted toward webmasters who
outsource their site hosting to an Internet Service Provider or
Internet Presence Provider. Since these users do not have control of
the computer hosting their site, existing desktop or server-based
maintenance applications cannot adequately address their needs.
NetMechanic works by monitoring and testing sites from remote web
servers operated by their own service, allowing easy setup with no
software downloads.

NetMechanic provides link testing, HTML validation, graphics
optimization, and server monitoring services including Spell Check,
Load Time Check, Server Check, Link Check, HTML Check, and GIFBot.
These services are free and will test sites of up to 200 pages.
NetMechanic also offers a subscription service, Server Check Pro,
that monitors web servers 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for only ten
dollars per month.

Monte Sano Software, LLC, an Internet software development firm based
in Huntsville, Alabama developed NetMechanic. For more information
