Mainstay Releases JustEdit Plus(tm)
Browser-Based, Fill in the Blanks Web Page Editing

Camarillo, CA, February 8, 1999 - Mainstay today began shipping
JustEdit Plus(tm), a Java applet offering manual and automatic
editing of web pages anytime, anywhere, using only a web browser.
Manual editing of any target web page is done in the applet's HTML
editing window. Or, automatic editing lets the user simply fill in
fields in the applet's editing window to update selections in a
target web page. JustEdit Plus facilitates on the fly updates of a
headline, price, date or the correction of a typo or broken or
changed link. The automatic fill in the blank approach is ideal for
web pages which maintain a basic form but have data that change
frequently; for example, a price list or daily events descriptions.
This simplicity lets a relatively unskilled, third party update
pages, thus freeing a Webmaster from repetitive and tedious efforts.

Using JustEdit Plus, there's no need to start an FTP application,
find a source file, or download the file from the web, start a web
page editor, make the changes, save the changes, then re-upload the
file. Web pages can be changed from anywhere in the world--using
nothing more than a web browser. JustEdit Plus reduces the time
wasted "round-tripping" web files back and forth to the web server,
or needlessly searching for HTML files on a local hard disk. It also
eliminates the frantic call back to the office, trying to talk
someone through all the steps to make a simple change or update.

For manual editing, the user simply specifies a path to a target web
page and then directly modifies the HTML of a page. For automatic
editing, a set of editable fields or a paragraph is set up in the
applet to automatically modify selected text marked by intelligent
tags on a target web page. JustEdit Plus tags are embedded as HTML
comments, thus maintaining compatibility with all browsers. The
target web page is updated by simply filling in the blanks or by
supplying or editing text in the applet's editing window. After
making changes, the user closes the editor and the page is
automatically saved. JustEdit Plus need only be included in a single
web page of a site. It requires no server-side applications, scripts,
CGIs, or plug-ins.

JustEdit Plus maintains the same level of security enjoyed by web
pages today. In fact, JustEdit Plus can be thought of as a
structured, transparent FTP client embedded in a web page. Like all
FTP clients, both a name and a password are necessary for read/write
access to web pages.

JustEdit Plus online demos can be experienced at www.mstay.com . A
fully functional, free promotional version is also available for
download at www.mstay.com and most popular download sites.

JustEdit Plus can be purchased with immediate electronic delivery at:
www.mstay.com . The introductory price is $99.95, single user.
Multi-user and ISP pricing are also available. JustEdit Plus is
compatible with Windows 95/98/NT, Macintosh and Unix and version 4 or
later of Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers. For more
information contact Lance Merker by calling (805) 484-9400, or by
