@soft releases MacAMP Lite 1.5

Lugano, Switzerland, Feb 20, 1999 -- @soft announces a new version of
its award-winning product, MacAMP Lite. MacAMP Lite is an innovative
audio multimedia player for the MacOS, featuring a small and easy to
use interface, plugin architecture, playlist support, timer, and
more. The application with a particulary low memory requirements
(only 1200 Kb for best performance) and a wide range of supported
sound formats, including CD Audio, MP3, IT, MOD, XM, MIDI and more,
promises to be an outstanding tool for every Mac user.

The user interface for the program is made of a single control
strip-like window, floating above all other applications, allowing
easy access to most of MacAMP Lite's features, such as playlist,
play, stop, forward and rewind buttons. Users can also customize
MacAMP Lite with custom appearance files, called "Skins", that
greatly change the look of the player.

MacAMP Lite makes use of a new technology invented by @soft, called
Phrase Books. With only one file of 10-15Kb in size, MacAMP Lite can
be localized for another language, including menus, dialogs, and
strings. Instead of downloading a whole new localized application,
just get a small Phrase Book and MacAMP Lite will "speak" the
appropriate language.

Being small, flexible, and an easy-to-use tool, MacAMP Lite promotes
the new standard for MacOS applications.

New version, 1.5, adds timer support, random play option, volume
control, and full support for new tecnologies such as Xing
Technology's Variable Bit Rate files encoded with Audio Catalyst, and
MPEG 2.5.
