Imagina, Inc. Acquires NotifyMail
Expands Presence in Corporate IT Market

Portland, Ore. -- Imagina Inc., a developer of Internet software
applications, announced today that it has acquired NotifyMail Software, a
privately-held company in San Diego, Calif. The company's namesake product,
NotifyMail, is an e-mail notification software product designed to work
with an organization's mail server. The acquisition allows Imagina to
expand its product line of Internet software solutions for corporate
customers. At the same time, Imagina expects to quickly increase the
current install base of NotifyMail users through its established marketing
and distribution channels.

Recognized for its Newstand workgroup collaboration tool and Usenet news
server software, Imagina develops products which enable organizations to
optimize the use of the Internet. The NotifyMail software fits well with
Imagina's direction for product development. The core technology in
NotifyMail will also serve as a foundation for several other software
releases from Imagina.

In large organizations where e-mail is an important communications tool,
NotifyMail reduces demand on e-mail servers and helps to maximize network
bandwidth. NotifyMail boosts employee productivity by immediately notifying
users whenever e-mail arrives on the server.

"Our mandate is to create, market and support innovative Internet software
for the commercial sector, with its inherent interest in saving time and
money. Acquisition of the NotifyMail technology fits well with that goal,"
said Linda Trotta, Imagina's vice president of worldwide sales, marketing
and product development.

A wide variety of e-mail server applications support NotifyMail, including
SendMail or Software.Com's Post.Office (for UNIX); Eudora; Internet Mail
Server; Seattle Lab's SLMail. In addition, NotifyMail has recently been
included as a setup option in AppleShare IP 6.0.

NotifyMail works with more than a dozen e-mail clients for both Windows and
Macintosh, including Eudora, Outlook Express and Netscape Communicator.
Versions of NotifyMail exist for Windows 95/NT and Macintosh platforms.
With the acquisition, NotifyMail Software's president, Scott Gruby, will
join Imagina as the company's new director of software development. Imagina
will continue to support all current NotifyMail customers, including such
organizations as NASA, Motorola, Apple Corp., Cray Research, and the
University of California at Berkeley.

Imagina, Inc. is a developer of Internet software applications for
business, education, the service sector, as well as Internet service
providers. Imagina is already well known for its Newstand software,
currently being used as a workgroup collaboration tool and a Usenet news
server.
