Farallon Ships New 10/100 Dual-Speed Hub

An ideal solution for schools and businesses to integrate their new iMacs
and other Fast Ethernet clients with existing 10Base-T Ethernet.

ALAMEDA, Calif., September 28, 1998 - Farallon is now shipping the new Fast
Starlet 10/100 Dual-Speed Hub/8. Equipped with 8 auto-negotiating 10/100
ports, Farallon's economical, compact, plug-and-play dual-speed hub is
perfect for schools and small businesses that are looking to network iMacs,
other 100Mb-capable nodes and existing 10Mb devices, but do not require
more expensive switched hub solutions.

Every port on the Fast Starlet 10/100 Dual-Speed Hub seamlessly works at 10
or 100Mbps, allowing users to take full advantage of their Fast Ethernet
devices, such as the iMac with built-in 10/100, while providing the ability
to easily integrate existing 10Base-T Ethernet devices such as printers or
older workstations. A built-in 2-port switch provides connectivity between
devices attached at 10Mb to those attached at 100Mb.

The Fast Starlet 10/100 Dual-Speed Hub/8 features:

* NWay 10/100 auto-negotiation for easy integration of 10 & 100Base-T devices
* Built-in 2-port switch for connectivity between 10Mb & 100Mb devices
* Works with iMacs, other Macs & PCs in both 10Mb & 100Mb modes
* Diagnostic LEDs for at-a-glance 10/100 & link/activity monitoring
* Plug-and-play; no software drivers to install
* Universal power supply for worldwide use
* Free technical support & lifetime warranty

connected, so it's completely plug-and-play for the user."
