Corel Announces Upcoming Internet-Ready Products for the Macintosh

Ottawa, Ontario-July 20, 1999- Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSE:
COR) renewed its commitment to the Macintosh platform today with the
announcement of three new Internet ready products - Corel Print
Office(tm) 2000 for Macintosh, Corel Print House(tm) 2000 for
Macintosh and Corel Custom Photo for Macintosh. (To read about the

Corel Print Office(tm) 2000 for Macintosh

The first-ever Macintosh version of Corels easy-to-use publishing
software, Corel Print Office 2000 for Macintosh is an ideal solution
for small office and home office users that need to create
high-quality projects at an affordable price.

Corel Print Office 2000 for Macintosh allows users to create
eye-catching documents - brochures, business cards and more - for all
their business needs. Corel Print Office 2000 offers instant Internet
access for users so they can get their business onto the Web quickly,
bypassing the typical complexities of this process. In addition to
the two main applications, Corel Print Office 5 for Macintosh and
Corel Photo House 5 for Macintosh, the software includes file
converters for translating popular Macintosh word-processing file
formats not natively supported by Corel Print Office 2000.

Scheduled to hit store shelves by September 1999, Corel Print Office
2000 for Macintosh will be available for a suggested retail price of

Corel Print House(tm) 2000 for Macintosh

The newest version of Corels home publishing and photo-editing
software, Corel Print House 2000 offers a creative solution for the
Macintosh community.

Corel Print House 2000 for the Macintosh allows users to design
spectacular graphics projects in print or on the Web - greeting
cards, crafts, invitations, calendars, certificates, banners, signs,
masks, labels and more, with thousands of professionally designed,
customizable templates. Corel Print House 2000 offers instant
Internet access for users with Internet connections, so they can get
their home projects onto the Web quickly, bypassing the typical
complexities of this process. In addition to the two main
applications, Corel Print House 5 for Macintosh and Corel Photo House
5 for Macintosh, this software package includes a file conversion

This application is ideal for applying unique effects to photos, such
as adding text and clipart, adjusting the lighting and focus or
removing scratches. Corel Custom Photo for Macintosh also allows
users to make creative photo projects such as postcards, magazine
covers, coasters, sports cards, gift tags and much more. Personalized
photo memories such as framed photos, personalized greeting cards and
photo projects can also be sent over the Internet, or published to
HTML for display on a Web page. If users need assistance, the
Notebook helps apply effects, choose paint brushes and access the
Corel Custom Photo library quickly and easily.

the Macintosh will be available for US $59.95 or CAN $69.95. Prices

System Requirements

Corel Print Office 2000 for Macintosh, Corel Print House 2000 for
Macintosh and Corel Custom Photo for the Macintosh are all optimized
for the Mac OS. A Power Macintosh with a minimum of 32 MB RAM with
Virtual Memory Enabled, Mac OS 8.1 or later and a CD-ROM is required.
Corel recommends 64 MB of RAM, Internet access, a color printer,
scanner and digital camera for enhanced performance.
