[NPL] Consultant 3.0 and Office Consultant 3.0

[NPL] Consultant 3.0 and Office Consultant 3.0

PROVO, UTAH - December 28, 1999 -- Chronos will debut two new products at
the upcoming Macworld Expo 2000 in San Francisco. Consultant 3.0 and Office
Consultant 3.0 are both based on Consultant 2.5, the personal information
manager that won an Eddy award as the "Best Data Management Software" at
last year's Macworld Expo.

Chronos calls the popular Consultant the "Swiss Army knife" of productivity
software. It integrates a calendar, address book, word processor, memo
taker, personal journal, phone dialer and alarm clock into a single
easy-to-use application. To top it off, it synchronizes with both the
PalmPilot and the new Handspring Visor handheld organizer.

Consultant 3.0 adds a wealth of new features including keywords, more
powerful filtering of activities and contacts, flexible list views and
improved PalmPilot synchronization. PalmPilot and Visor users no longer
have to transfer EVERYTHING to their handheld organizer -- Consultant lets
them choose individual categories to synchronize. Office Consultant users
have the added benefit of being able to synchronize both public and private
information.

Consultant 3.0 also includes two new programs: Advisor and Listener.
Advisor provides an easy and lightning-fast way to check a daily schedule
or look up contacts without launching Consultant. Listener uses "HotKeys"
(special key combinations) to launch Advisor or Consultant from any
program. It also checks for alarms and lets the user know if they have
something scheduled, even if Consultant isn't running.

Office Consultant 3.0 is intended specifically for network users who need
to share information with their co-workers. It uses an advanced
client/server design to provide a robust and reliable network solution.

Office Consultant users can regulate how much access their co-workers have
to their information. Access levels range from full read/write privileges
to a unique "Blind Access" mode that allows other users to see WHEN
activities are scheduled, but none of the details.

Office Consultant uses "mirror files" to give users access to their
information even if they can't connect to the network server. This is ideal
for PowerBook users, who can simply disconnect their computer from the
network and leave the office. When they return, their changes will be
automatically synchronized with the network data file.

According to Robert McCullough, Director of Development at Chronos,
"Consultant and Office Consultant are brand new products. We're not simply
repackaging our software to make it work under Mac OS 9. We think our
current users and new users will be very excited with the new features in
these programs."

Chronos is offering a special upgrade price of $29.99 for owners of other
organizer products including Now Up-to-Date/Contact, Claris Organizer,
Symantec ACT, DayMaker, In Touch, DateBook/Touchbase and Dynodex. This
upgrade program will continue through January 31, 2000.

Consultant 3.0 will be available as an electronic download for $49.99. A CD
and printed manual will cost $59.99. Office Consultant user licenses can be
purchased for $99.99 each. Free demo CDs will be distributed at Macworld
Expo 2000. The software will also be available for download at
