CNBC AIRS STORY ON APPLE AS PRECURSOR TO ANNOUNCEMENT
-- Story highlights interview with publisher of developer publications

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- October 13, 1998 -- Today at 4pm PT (7pm ET),
CNBC will air a piece on the outlook for Apple's earnings and for the
company in general. This story comes as a precursor to Apple's announcement
tomorrow, where the company will be discussing fiscal results, iMac
Research Data, and a major new release of the Macintosh operating system.
As part of this story, CNBC explores the role of Apple's developer
community in an interview with Neil Ticktin, Publisher of both MacTech and
NetProfessional magazines.

Hosted by Maria Bartiromo and Tyler Mathisen, "Business Center" is CNBC's
