[NPL] Aladdin Systems Releases DropZip

ALADDIN SYSTEMS TO RELEASE TWO COMPRESSION SHAREWARE PRODUCTS FOR
MACINTOSH- DROPSTUFF(tm) AND DROPZIP(tm)

February 23, 1999 - Aladdin Systems, Inc. is expected to release a
new version of its popular compression shareware, Aladdin DropStuff
5.1 today at: http://www.aladdinsys.com/dropstuff/index.html.
DropStuff 5.1 includes the new StuffIt 5.0 compression format and is
a FREE upgrade for registered DropStuff with Expander Enhancer 4.5
users. Registered DropStuff users can upgrade to StuffIt Deluxe for
$29.95. The detailed DropStuff news release follows this message.

Aladdin also announces that it will release a standalone Macintosh
Zip compression application called DropZip(tm). This shareware will
allow Macintosh users to compress into the Zip format. DropZip users
will be able to drag and drop files or folders onto a desktop alias
icon or launch the application to select items to be compressed using
a Zip engine. Aladdin's DropZip is expected to ship in March.

Users wishing to expand and access either of these compression
formats can use Aladdin's freeware Expander products: StuffIt
Expander(tm) (Macintosh) or Aladdin Expander(tm) (Windows). These
products are available at

More information about DropZip will be sent closer to its ship date.
