Now X for Macintosh Provides a Major Upgrade to Now Up-to-Date and Contact

COLUMBUS, OHIO - August, 27 2009 - Now Software today announced the release
of Now Up-to-Date X and Now Contact X, the first two modules in its Now X
line of products. Now X, previously codenamed NightHawk, is an integrated
application that builds upon the calendar and contact management
functionality provided by Now Software's acclaimed Now Up-to-Date & Contact
software.

"As a leader in the contact and calendar management software market, we
decided the time was right to completely rebuild our core product, using
the latest technology to provide improved scalability, reliability, and
performance," said John Wallace, president of Now Software.

Now Up-to-Date X and Now Contact X

The first two modules for Now X are Now Up-to-Date X and Now Contact X,
which are calendar and contact clients for the Mac. These modules are
currently available for the Macintosh (Mac OS X versions 10.4.11 and
higher, including Mac OS X Leopard), with Windows versions of both clients
currently in testing.

Now Up-to-Date X provides a complete solution for managing events and
tasks, and Now Contact X provides a comprehensive contact management
solution. Now X has a single-application design, allowing for seamless
integration of data, a streamlined user interface, and flexible display and
print options. Now X is designed to support major Apple technologies and
provides migration from previous versions of Now Up-to-Date & Contact, as
well as allowing data to be imported and synced with iCal and AddressBook.
Now X also supports import from iCalendar, vCard, and other standard
formats for event and contact data. The Now X platform allows users to
share data between their computers and personal devices, such as the
iPhone, other cell phones, PDAs, and iPods, making key business data
portable and easily accessible. Robust state-of-the-art database
technology and comprehensive administration tools will support
organizations of up to thousands of users.

Now X Product Roadmap

In addition to calendar and contact modules, Wallace states, "Our new Now X
architecture allows us to not only provide contact and calendar management,
but also to build new product modules that will provide our customers with
comprehensive solutions for running their businesses, schools, and
organizations." The next module to be released will be the Now X Server
module, which allows multiple users to connect to a shared database that
stores contact and calendar information. The server module is in
development and will be entering a beta testing phase in the near future.
Following the server module, the Windows version of the calendar and
contact clients will be made available, making Now X the best option for
users in a cross-platform environment.

Now X for Macintosh is currently shipping and is priced at $129.95 for the
