COLUMBUS, OHIO - December 9, 2003 - Now Software, makers of

Up-to-Date & Contact (NUDC), announced today the release of Now
Up-to-Date & Contact 4.5.1 for Macintosh, featuring support for
the exciting new Apple Mac OS X "Panther" operating system.
The new NUDC 4.5.1 also includes a number of stability enhancements
and feature upgrades that make personal, family, and group schedule
and contact management easier than ever.

This version has been thoroughly tested with Panther and has
numerous improvements, including significantly enhanced performance
from the Public Event Server.  New features like Contextual menu
support and more convenient importing of text files to Contact have
been added as well, to ease routine processing and information
management.

"Apple's Mac OS X is all about efficiency and
convenience.  We believe our users will find the same to be true
about NUDC 4.5.1 for Macintosh," said John Wallace, president of
Now Software.  "With this new version, we've taken the
next step in maximizing the way Now Up-to-Date & Contact users can
manage and share their most critical productivity companions-their
daily schedule and contact lists."

NUDC 4.5.1 for Macintosh is designed for speed, ease-of-use, and
reliability.  Users will benefit from its many performance
refinements:

Public Event Server Upgrades mean better web calendar creation
and elimination of server slow-downs;

New Contextual Menu Support brings up record or text editing
options simply by right-clicking (or Control + click) on specific
items;

Text File Importing in Now Contact has been made easier through
an improved interface and most robust data transfer processes;

Numerous Memory, Error, Script, and Operational Fixes.

Industry Leader

Since its introduction roughly ten years ago, Now Up-to-Date &
Contact has been put into daily use by millions of people around the
world.  NUDC is renowned by editors, columnists, and users alike
for its easy interface, its powerful set of user features, and its
ability to optimize workgroup productivity through appropriate
information sharing without compromising personal or family data.

NUDC took a major step forward in Q4 of this year with the
introduction of Now Up-to-Date & Contact for Windows, the first
complete migration of NUDC for Macintosh to the Windows operating
system.  The debut of NUDC for Windows marks the first time Mac
and Windows users can seamlessly share Now Up-to-Date & Contact
information across networks through a single, easily learned user
interface.

Later in 2004, Macintosh users will experience the biggest NUDC
product news yet via the release of NUDC 5.0 for Macintosh, considered
to be the most significant update in the product's history.
Version 5, incorporating a number of powerful new features, is
expected to reach users in the later half of 2004.
