NetCloak For Mac OS X

Maxum Development Announces NetCloak For Mac OS X

May 24, 2001. Maxum Development has announced that NetCloak, the popular
Web server enhancement that makes building dynamic and interactive Web
sites drag-and-drop easy, will soon be available for Mac OS X. The news was
released to coincide with the latest press release from 4D, Inc. regarding
WebStar V, since the two products are being designed to work flawlessly
together.

"WebStar has always been the server of choice for NetCloak developers,"
said John O'Fallon, President of Maxum. "We expect WebStar V running on OS
X to continue to be the leading platform for Mac-based servers, and we'll
make sure that NetCloak is optimized for it."

The new update to NetCloak, Version 3.2, is expected to be released this
summer and will run as an Apache module under OS X Server as well as under
WebStar V. In addition to the port to OS X, the new version will offer
enhancements that make NetCloak even easier to use, including a set of
Adobe GoLive extensions and updates to the existing BBEdit, DreamWeaver,
and TagBuilder drag-and-drop page building utilities.

"For years, the combination of WebStar and NetCloak has been simply the
best solution for getting advanced Web sites up and running quickly and
easily. Today, there are a huge number of Web sites that are powered by
WebStar and NetCloak," said Carl de Cordova, WebStar Evangelist for 4D.
"We're thrilled to see Maxum join 4D in committing to the Mac platform's
future while protecting the development community's past investments."

Complete information about NetCloak, including a fully-functional trial of
the current version, is available at:

and NetForms in 1994. Since that time, Maxum has continued to innovate with
a series of unique, widely acclaimed Internet server products.
