Music Man v1.7: MP3 DVD and other advanced features

Vancouver, Canada, September 29, 2005 -- Mireth Technology Corp. has
released version 1.7 of Music Man, its easy to use digital music software
that rips from CD, converts between formats, burns to CD, DVD or to USB
Flash Drive Memory and plays music files, CDs and directly from USB Flash.
Music Man was developed for Macintosh users with MP3 devices other than
Apple's iPod. Music Man runs on Mac OS X. Version 1.7 adds several
advanced features including support for Unprotected MPEG-4 Audio (.M4A),
support for iTunes Play Lists, burning to DVD, ID3 tag update using FreeDB,
and automatic creation of winamp (.m3u) playlists.

"MP3 DVDs are replacing MP3 CDs in car audio because DVD provides an audio
and a video solution in one," said Robert Wiebe, VP of Research and
Development. "Music Man lets you store over 50 hours of music on one DVD.
And if your MP3 DVD gets stolen, or melted in the heat, you can just burn
another one. Why risk your iPod or MP3 player in your car when you can use
media that's cheap and easy to replace?"

Music Man is the easy way to rip, convert, burn and play MP3, WMA, WAV,
AAC, AIF, Audio CD and Ogg Vorbis on Mac OS X. Whether you want to rip,
convert, burn or play music, Music Man is the digital music software for
Mac OS X that does it all. Music Man offers you all the features you want
in an easy to use music player that also includes ripper, converter and
burner features, and the ease of use you've come to expect from Mireth
Technology.

This version adds several advanced features requested by Mireth customers.
* Burn to DVD
* Support for Unprotected MPEG-4 Audio (.M4A)
* Support for iTunes Play Lists and winamp (.m3u) play lists
* Automatically update the ID3 tags from FreeDB (configurable in the
preferences)
* Ripping CDs at different qualities

Support for burning to DVD allows users to burn OGG, WMA, MP3 or AAC files
to a DVD. When recording with a digital music format, you can get more
than 50 hours of music on a DVD. A music DVD can be played in any computer
with a DVD drive, and in many standalone and car DVD players.

Support for Unprotected MPEG-4 Audio (.M4A) allows users to play, burn and
convert their AAC (.M4A) files with Music Man. AAC, short for Advanced
Audio Coding, is the audio encoding format used by the MPEG-4 Standard,
supported by many music programs, including iTunes.

Support for iTunes Play Lists allows users to work with their iTunes Play
Lists using Music Man.

Enhanced support for ID3 tags allows users to access ID3 tags using FreeDB
during audio CD ripping.

Pricing and Availability

Music Man is available for immediate download, or on CD-ROM, starting at
$19.95. Registered users of previous versions of Music Man can upgrade for
free. Educational pricing and volume discounts are available. Music Man
runs on Mac OS X. For more information, visit www.mireth.com/pub/mpme.html
