Metrowerks Introduces CodeWarrior Development Studio

Metrowerks Offers Low Priced CodeWarrior(tm) Tools for Mac(r) OS X Programmers

Easy-to-Use Tools Suite is Ideal for Hobbyists and Novice Programmers

AUSTIN, Texas - January 7, 2003 - Metrowerks is introducing CodeWarrior(tm)
Development Studio, Mac OS X Edition at an introductory price of US$99
until February 28, 2003. Programmers writing applications for Mac(r) OS X
now have a low cost choice when it comes to development tools.

As a subset of Metrowerks' CodeWarrior Development Studio for Mac OS,
Professional Edition, Version 8, the Mac OS X Edition is ideal for
hobbyists and novices because it contains essentially the same development
tools used by professional programmers and includes features designed to
simplify the development process.

One such feature is Code Completion, which provides fast access to the
prototypes and parameters of any function in a project. Code Completion
enables programmers to write code more quickly without stopping to look up
hard-to-remember functions and symbols.

Furthermore, the Mac OS X Edition enables programmers to build either C++
applications using the Metrowerks PowerPlant(tm) Framework or Objective-C
applications using Apple's Cocoa(tm) framework.

Like the professional CodeWarrior products, the Mac OS X Edition is built
on the graphical CodeWarrior integrated development environment (IDE),
which combines everything programmers need in one easy to use tools suite.
The IDE includes an advanced project manager, build system, source code
editor, compilers, linkers, debuggers, class browser, and more.
