CLEARWAY TECHNOLOGIES ADDS "PUSH" TECHNOLOGY TO NEW WEB ARCHER SEARCH TOOL

-- Built-in 'Search Expertise' Speeds Successful Searches;
Uses 'Push' Technology to Keep Expertise Up-To-Date Automatically --

Boston, September 3, 1997 -- ClearWay Technologies, Inc. today announced
the final "Preview Release" of Web Archer, a desktop Internet search tool
with built-in 'search expertise' that selects the best database or search
engine for each search automatically. Web Archer makes Internet searching
faster, easier, and more successful for both novice and experienced users,
by using its built-in knowledge of the Internet to quickly focus on the
most relevant information. Using ClearWay's own 'push' technology, which is
built into Web Archer, updated 'search expertise' is broadcast monthly to
all installed Web Archers. 30-day demonstration copies of Web Archer for
Mac OS, and Windows 95/NT are available free from
(http://www.clearway.com/WebArcher/)

"Most Internet journeys start with a search," explained Mark Kriegsman,
president of ClearWay Technologies. "Web Archer's built-in search expertise
helps you find your target -- fast. Now Web Archer's search expertise stays
current and up-to-date, even months after you download the software. As new
databases become available, ClearWay broadcasts the new information and it
becomes shows up in your desktop copy of Web Archer. It even works if
you're off-line at the time; it's really the way 'push' technology ought to
work."

Web Archer comes preconfigured with 'search expertise' for finding people,
phone numbers, e-mail addresses, news, stocks, research, on-line catalogs,
weather, and more. Using ClearWay's own integrated 'push' technology,
updated and enhanced search expertise is automatically broadcast to all
installed Web Archers on a monthly basis. This ensures that Web Archer
users will always have access to the most current, complete range of
Internet resources. ClearWay will release the "Web Archer Construction Kit"
later this year, allowing end users to customize Web Archer and broadcast
their own 'search expertise.'

Web Archer costs US$29.95 with full packaging, and US$20.00 when delivered
electronically from (http://www.clearway.com/WebArcher/). ClearWay also
licenses Web Archer for vertical applications and to publishers for
promotional and advertising use. Contact Mark Heckendorn (mdh@clearway.com)
for licensing information.
