SoftLinc presents LEXI(TM), a multilingual spelling checker for Live
Objects(TM)

San Francisco, California (January 7, 1997) -
SoftLinc, Inc., from Marco Island, Florida, is at MacWorld San Francisco
to present LEXI, a spelling checker for Live Objects. The company is
located in the Component 100 (www.C100.org) booth (#3261), together with
14 other Live Objects developers.

LEXI works as a stand-alone part, as well as an extension within other
Live Objects. It is already integrated with Digital Harbor(TM)'s
WAV(TM), and it can be used with all the Live Objects that support Word
Services extensions. Besides checking the spelling of Live Object
documents, LEXI also checks any TEXT document, and any piece of text
imported from other applications through Drag-and-Drop or Copy-and-Paste,
including your e-mail. LEXI can also be equipped with a thesaurus,
translation dictionary, and verbal conjugator. The thesaurus includes a
total of over 185,000 synonyms. The translation dictionary allows the
look-up of 40,000 entries, and over 120,000 translations per language.
The conjugator contains inflected forms for almost all verbs in all
languages, including regular, irregular, defective and reflexive verbs.
The spelling database for US English contains over 212,000 generated
forms.

Users can purchase LEXI through C|Net at www.BuyDirect.com, or directly
from SoftLinc at www.SoftLinc.com/LEXI. From this page, users can also
download a demo of LEXI, containing limited-sized dictionaries. To
purchase the full version, they need to choose among one or more of the
following language dictionaries: UK English, US English, Brazilian
Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, European Portuguese, French, Finnish, German,
Italian, Norwegian, Spanish, and Swedish. When purchased directly from
SoftLinc, LEXI will be sold at $19 for spelling only , $29 for spelling
and thesaurus, and $49 for a complete two-language suite with spelling,
thesaurus, translation dictionary, and verbal conjugator.
