SPECIAL JOY DEAL TO COMMEMORATE AWARD THAT STARTED IT ALL

Vienna, 16 June 1998. Five years ago, Steve Jobs joyfully announced that a
NEXTSTEP-based application had won first prize in the top category of the
1993 Computerworld Object Application Awards. Inspired from talking with
Steve Jobs and rejoicing about winning the award, Sabine and Werner
Staringer decided later that evening to found AAA+ Software. The technology
evolved into Joy, the company's flagship product. Today, AAA+ celebrates
the occasion with a special anniversary offer and surprise gifts.

"Back then I headed FML, a university research lab for advanced software
technologies. We consequently extended the NEXTSTEP technology. That way we
created a pretty cool application. The jury chose us over the numerous C++
and Smalltalk entries. We were delighted. So was Steve", reminiscences
Werner Staringer. "Founding AAA+ was a logical step. There were many
insanely great ideas floating around FML. It needed a company to turn them
into products."

Until July 16, Joy users will have the opportunity to upgrade the
entry-level $69 Joy Explorer product to a full-blown Joy Developer license
for just $169. This offer represents a saving of 50% off the regular
upgrade price of $339.

A very special deal is extended to students. The upgrade price is just $99
for non-commercial use. Proof of student status is required.

Current users of Joy Developer will not miss out. A valuable surprise gift
will show up in the mailbox of all currently registered users with
fully-paid Joy Developer licenses.

All users will receive a free upgrade to Joy 2.0. The first prerelease of
Joy 2.0 is already available to registered users on request. It will ship
as a product in Q3/98.

Joy 2.0 unifies Javascript, C, Objective-C, and Java. The syntax will be a
superset of all these languages. Tcl will continue to be supported.

Joy is AAA+ Software's developer productivity and rapid application
development tool. Joy 1.x is currently available for Rhapsody DR2
(PowerPC), Rhapsody DR1 (PPC/Intel), Windows NT/95, and OPENSTEP/MachOS.
