April 6, 1998 - SoftWatcher, a free Mac and PC software tracking
service, officially launches and transitions out of beta-testing.
Highlighted by a listing of the latest software releases which is updated
throughout the day, users can search our comprehensive database for
programs to fulfill all of their software needs. This official launch marks
numerous improvements to our service including: more detailed information
about each featured product, the implementation of software listing by
categories, and a cleaner, friendlier interface. As we head into the next
quarter, we plan to add many new features including email support and
further expansion of our service into other mediums. Thousands of software
developers around the world already cooperate with SoftWatcher, and as we
continue to grow and expand our contacts, SoftWatcher will prove to be the
fastest and most comprehensive software tracking site on the Web.

Founded in February 1988, SoftWatcher aims to provide Macintosh and PC
