Free update offers improved Windows compilation support, faster code
execution, and over 20 new features.

San Francisco, CA January 5, 2000 REAL Software, Inc. today announced
REALbasic 2.1, the latest version of their award-winning, visual,
object-oriented BASIC development environment for Macintosh. This
update will be free for registered users of REALbasic 2.0.2. REAL
Software will show REALbasic 2.1 in their booth #949 at the MacWorld
Expo this month in San Francisco.

REALbasic is easy to use, powerful, and easy to learn. It is powerful
enough for professionals and easy enough for beginners to use.
Whether someone wants to learn (or return!) to programming, REALbasic
is for them. Users of all skill levels can quickly and easily create
stand-alone applications for the MacOS and even Microsoft Windows.

REALbasic 2.1 adds vastly improved support for creating applications
that run on Windows, improved database access, faster code execution,

direct from REAL Software and from our international distributors.
New customers can choose between the Standard Edition for US$149.95
and Professional Edition for US$249.95. The Professional Edition adds
support for SQL and 4GL database access, and compiling for Windows.
