Pictorius Ships CGI Toolkit for Macintosh

New Kit Contains Everything Needed to Create CGIs and ACGIs

November 14, 1996 - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada - Pictorius Inc. today
announced that they are shipping the Pictorius CGI Toolkit, a complete
package containing everything needed to write, compile, test and deploy
CGIs (Common Gateway Interface) and ACGIs (Asynchronous CGI).

The Pictorius CGI Toolkit includes: Pictorius Net Servers; an HTML Editor;
and the CGI Toolkit development environment, an easier and faster way to
create CGIs.

Web developers can now interactively write, test and debug CGIs using a
high speed interpreter while the application, the Web server and a browser
are all running on one system. Any portion of the source code can be
changed while the CGI is running. Once it is functioning properly, Web
developers simply compile it with either the 68K or PowerMac compiler and
deploy their CGI.

The Pictorius CGI Toolkit includes 5 pre-written, ready-to-use CGIs. They are:

- Hit Counter (count the number of visitors to a site)
- Mortgage Calculator (for form and calculation examples)
- Random Image (for Web banners and other images)
- Random Re-Direct (generate random URL addresses)
- Remote Server Screen Shot (take a screen shot of current server status
from a remote location)

The Pictorius CGI Toolkit is compatible with other Mac-based Web servers
that support CGIs and ACGIs, including WebStar.

Available only for Apple Macintosh computers, the Pictorius CGI Toolkit is
$149US. Customers can order the CGI Toolkit directly from Pictorius at
1-800-927-4847. Outside North America, please call +1 (902) 492-2880 ext.
246.

System Requirements
The Pictorius CGI Toolkit requires a 68020 or higher Macintosh computer and
System 7.0 or higher. A complete installation of the CGI Toolkit will
require 40MB of disk space including the Pictorius Net Servers, HTML Editor
and CGI Toolkit, with online documentation, and 16MB of RAM.

Further information is available on the Pictorius Web site at:
