[MD1] MacTech T-shirt Design Contest

MacTech Magazine Announces T-shirt Design Contest

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, California -- Nov. 10, 1997 -- MacTech Magazine today
announced its T-shirt Design Contest. The idea of the competition is to
create a concept or design for a T-shirt that will be given away during the
Macworld Expo/San Francisco January 6-9, 1998. This T-shirt will literally
reach thousands of Mac enthusiasts during and long after the show.

MacTech Magazine has had some great shirts in the past that we still see
walking around trade shows. For example, the famous Alert message saying
"Programmers don't do mornings." has shown it's face years after the shirts
were released.

"We're looking for the next fun t-shirt that embodies the core of the Mac
developer community -- their humor, their goals ... what they are about."
says Neil Ticktin, Publishser of MacTech Magazine. "This is a chance for
all of the wonderfully creative people in our industry to not only show
that creativity to the whole community, but to get something in return as
well!"

Winning Prize

The designer of the winning entry will receive a FIVE YEAR subscription to
MacTech Magazine and the most current MacTech CD-ROM which includes all of
Apple's develop (issues 1-29) in THINK Reference format. The prize is worth
over $300.

Entrance Guidelines

Concepts and tag lines should be simply written in email. Drawings are
great too -- submit any industry standard file format for the graphic, of
fax/snail mail a sketch. You may enter more than one design. Each entry
should be sent seperately for logging and tracking purposes. There is no
limit. The email address for submitting your T-shirt design is
mailto:tshirt-ideas@mactech.com.

All graphics utilized within the design entry must be created by the
entrant, or the entrant must present permissions from the artist for use of
unoriginal graphics, or show that the graphics (if any) are within the
public domain and may be used without obtaining permission.

Submission to the above email transfers copyright of content to MacTech
Magazine once the prize is awarded. Copyright only transfers for the
