Lari's Electrifier Pro for QuickTime 3 Available for Pre-Orders --Customers
can Pre-Order the Ground-breaking New Authoring Tool for Fast QuickTime 3
Web Multimedia

Chapel Hill, NC. March 30, 1998. Lari Software Inc. today announced it has
started taking pre-orders for the Mac OS version of Electrifier Pro, its
ground-breaking new multimedia authoring tool.

Electrifier Pro makes it possible for web professionals to author, for the
first time, interactive QuickTime 3 multimedia that plays as it loads. This
means that media-rich content, complete with sophisticated animation,
sound, and video, can now be viewed without delay--even by people with
slower modem connections.

Freedom of Content

Electrifier Pro provides unprecedented freedom of content. Designers can
work with over 25 different file formats and all types of content--GIFs,
JPEGs, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator files, video, audio,
music(MIDI), virtual-reality panoramas, and 3-D images.

Electrifier Pro is the first tool to take advantage of all the new
space-saving file formats supported by QuickTime 3. These new formats,
designed to make digital media compact, include QuickTime 3 vector graphics
(ultra-slim files that are scalable to screen-size without increasing in
file size), and cutting-edge algorithms for compressing video and audio
content like Sorenson Video, QUALCOMM PureVoice, and QDesign Music Codec.

With input from over 2,000 web authors, Electrifier Pro is designed to give
users the power to create sophisticated multimedia that includes
interactivity, amazing animation, and polished audio mixing.
No-Bandwidth(TM) media like fire, interactive ripples, and clouds and over
140 TV-Style(SMPTE) wipes and transition--all under 1K in size--can be used
for additional visual interest.

Thanks to a sophisticated interface, which allows users to author
multimedia by dragging "intelligent" actions and effects, accurate to
1/1000th of a second, onto content--tedious frame-by-frame construction is
no longer necessary.

Because content created with Electrifier Pro is both compact and streaming,
it is perfectly suited for the web. Yet Electrifier files can be delivered
anywhere--the web, CD-ROMs and intranets--using QuickTime 3, the newest
version of the industry standard architecture for digital media playback
released today.

Examples

Check out the cool streaming multimedia examples created with Electrifier
Pro on the Lari site at (http://www.larisoftware.com). Content created with
Electrifier Pro can be viewed on the web with the universal QuickTime
plug-in--which millions of people already use on both the Mac(R) OS and
Windows(R) platforms.

Availability and Requirements

Electrifier Pro will be available for the Mac OS in May for an online price
of $395. Pre-Order your copy today, or sign up on the Lari Software site to
be notified when the product ships. The Windows version of Electrifier Pro
will ship after the Mac OS version ships.

The Mac OS version requires 680x0 or PowerPC-based Macintosh(R) or Mac(R)
OS-compatible (accelerated for PowerPC). System 7.5 or higher. The Windows
