PROTERON RELEASES GOMAC 1.5: A QUANTUM LEAP

Kansas City, MO. April 7, 1998 - Proteron, L.L.C. today announced the
release of GoMac 1.5. Targeted at users who perform multiple tasks on the
Mac as well as those migrating from the Windows environment, GoMac is
Proteron's popular system utility which implements a program bar, start
menu and keyboard switcher for the Mac OS.

The program is available for immediate download at www.proteron.com.
Subscribers to MacAddict, MacConnect and Metrowerks Code Warrior will also
be receiving GoMac in future distributions.

New features abound in GoMac 1.5. Following closely on the heels of
Microsoft's release of Office 98 for the Mac, GoMac offers Office 98
Integration. Users with Office 98 installed will see a Microsoft Office 98
item in their Start Menu for easy access to Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

GoMac 1.5 also supports Apple's Control Strip technology and has a
completely redesigned look to reflect the platinum appearance Apple
introduced with Mac OS 8.

"Development efforts have been intense," said Sam Caughron, President of
Proteron. "Not only has the appearance of GoMac been dramatically improved,
but large portions of the code have been rewritten to make it faster and
more stable."

Additional numerous minor improvements grace GoMac 1.5, including: more
options for configuring Auto hide; program specific layer control;
Click-Switch and Active Layer Toggle (ALT(tm)) in the Keyboard Switcher;
and full support for icons in the Start Menu.

"If you use either Office 98 or Apple's control strip, you really should
install GoMac. You will be pleasantly surprised," said Mathew Caughron,
Director of Marketing. "The overwhelming response we've seen from end-users
indicates that GoMac will be a very hot product this quarter."

GoMac 1.5 works on any Macintosh running Apple's System 7.5 through Mac OS
8.1. An English version is currently available and localized versions are
forthcoming.

The update is free of charge for all registered GoMac users. Other users
are encouraged to register now. A single-user license for GoMac is $19.95
USD; up to 3 additional copies for the same user are discounted to $5.00
USD each. Site licenses of more than 10 are priced at $14.95 USD per copy.
Bulk pricing is available by contacting Proteron. Discounts are available
for educational institutions.
