FILEMAKER OFFERS DICTIONARIES FOR 15 LANGUAGES ON ONE CONVENIENT CD

Accurate spell-checking in foreign languages for FileMaker Pro users

SANTA CLARA, CA -- May 11, 1998 -- FileMaker, Inc. announced today the
availability of the new Language Dictionary CD, a cross-platform CD
containing dictionaries for 15 languages. The dictionaries provide
spell-checking assistance for users of FileMaker Pro database software, as
well as spell-checking, thesaurus, and hyphenation assistance for users of
other software products.

The Language Dictionary CD allows accurate spell-checking of foreign
language text within databases, graphics, presentations, project
management, publishing and correspondence. Each dictionary contains more
than 200,000 words.

The CD includes the following dictionaries which work with FileMaker Pro
4.0 and newer versions, and with Home Page 3.0 web authoring software:
Afrikaans, Catalan, US English, US English Medical, UK English, Danish,
Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Brazilian
Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Swiss German.

The CD also includes these dictionaries which work with FileMaker Pro 3.0
and older versions, Home Page 2.0, and Apple Computer's AppleWorks
(formerly ClarisWorks), Claris Em@iler and ClarisImpact: US English, UK
English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian,
Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish and Swiss German.

Electronic documentation localized for most supported languages is included.

For Windows and Macintosh personal computers, the Language Dictionary CD
carries a suggested retail price of $49 in the U.S. and is available now
from authorized FileMaker Pro resellers. The license permits the user to
utilize only one dictionary, and FileMaker, Inc. will not offer technical
