FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Foresight Solutions, Inc. Announces DataWave 3.0 for Macintosh and Windows

East Lansing, Michigan USA - August 21, 1998 - Foresight Solutions, Inc.
announces the distribution of DataWave 3.0 for Macintosh and Windows.
Authored by David Robbins, DataWave 3.0 is Foresight's most compelling new
product. It is a collection of 4D methods, forms, and a plug-in that allows
any 4th Dimension database to be published on the worldwide Web with no
custom coding. Installation takes just a few minutes. Add just one line of
code to display the DataWave control palette. You don't need to know how to
write HTML or how to use the lower-level TCP/IP or CGI tools to use
DataWave. Once installed, DataWave's configuration dialog allows the
database administrator to select files and fields to make available to Web
browsers. The administrator can also customize the form based custom search
editor.

This powerful product for Macintosh and Windows builds HTML tagged Web
pages on-the-fly. DataWave can serve the HTML pages directly or work in
unison with most popular Windows and Macintosh Web servers. Users can now
search a 4D database for the specific information they're looking for,
using any browser that supports forms and tables. DataWave can even display
images with no programming.

DataWave reads the relations drawn in your 4D Structure and automatically
creates subforms (included layouts) for all child tables in the detail view
of any parent table. Drill down, edit, add, and delete child records from a
parent record. If your relations are more complex, no problem. There are
easy to use developer hooks to customize the default behavior.

DataWave 3.0 for Windows or Macintosh sells for $149. Receive a $50
discount if purchased on or before September 30th. DataWave can be obtained
by calling 1-800-701-9393, ext. 27 or email to (sales@foresight.com). It
comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee and a no-hassle license.

Softec, LLC announced the merger of their separate divisions under a single
corporate identity. A new corporation, Foresight Solutions, Inc., has been
formed to facilitate the consolidation. Foresight Solutions, Inc. corporate
headquarters is located in East Lansing, Michigan with sales and support
offices in San Francisco and Huntington Beach, California; Telluride,
