FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PREPRESS AND WEB PUBLISHING OPTIONS EXPAND FOR CANVAS 5 USERS

Deneba Authorized Service Bureau program in full swing; Colada 2.0
available for free download

Seybold NY Publishing '98, March 17, 1998 -- In keeping with Seybold
Publishing Seminars' dual print and web focus, Deneba Software announced
the expansion of the Deneba Authorized Service Bureau (DASB) program and
the availability of the latest version of Colada, the Java-based web
publishing tool for Canvas.

Deneba has publicized the membership benefits of the DASB program on its
web site (www.deneba.com) and through outreach programs for the past
several months. In that time, service bureaus have been applying steadily,
with new companies qualifying every day. The constant stream of new
applicants indicates the increasing demand for professional printing
services for Canvas files. There's no risk to applying -- membership is
totally free, and DASBs receive all these benefits:

- Free one-year, three workstation license of Canvas 5.
- Toll-free technical support telephone numbers.
- Exclusive email support.
- First priority software updates.
- Customer referrals.
- Special service bureau employee pricing, directly from Deneba.
- Co-op advertising funds.

In addition to sending files to a DASB, Canvas users continue to have the
option of sending their files to Deneba's national Digital Imaging Services
Center (DISC). The imaging center's prepress professionals provide superb
quality and quick turnaround for film and matchprints, and back all their
services with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

In the web publishing arena, the final release of the Colada 2.0 web
publishing tools for Canvas 5.0.3 are now available for free download from
www.deneba.com. This new version adds dynamic Java-based zooming, panning,
rollover buttons, animations, and sounds to web pages created in Canvas.
Colada allows users to publish any Canvas document as web pages or entire
web sites, without programming in Java or HTML. Colada is compatible with
all modern browsers and does not require proprietary plug-ins. Throughout
Seybold, Deneba Software will demonstrate Canvas with Colada 2.0 and show
completed pages in a web browser.
