Apple, BLaCKSMITH Offer Classes On Creating Dynamic Web Applications

CUPERTINO, California--Nov. 25, 1997--Apple Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)
and BLaCKSMITH, Inc., an object-oriented software development and services
company, have joined together to deliver training programs on Apple's
market-leading web development platform, WebObjects. Geared for corporate
programmers and analysts, the WebObjects programming course is designed to
make it easier for attendees to create dynamic web applications. The first
five-day session is scheduled to be held Jan. 26-30, 1998 at BLaCKSMITH's
training facilities in McLean, Va.

"BLaCKSMITH is a valued Apple Enterprise Alliance Program Member that has
created and delivered training classes on OPENSTEP and Java, provided
OPENSTEP consulting services, and developed shrink-wrap productivity
applications for both OPENSTEP and Rhapsody," says Sara Benson, director of
WebObjects and OPENSTEP customer training for Apple. "By including
WebObjects in their class curriculum, BLaCKSMITH's training certification
enables us to expand our business relationship with BLaCKSMITH and provide
technical training to our customers."

Used to power Apple's new online store, WebObjects provides an application
server, prebuilt application components, and rapid application assembly
tools that let customers bring enterprise solutions online quickly. By
providing an open middle-tier application server that provides flexible
support for multiple standards, WebObjects delivers more interactivity to
end users and more flexibility to developers.

"As long-time partner of Apple and an enthusiastic advocate of its
technologies, we view this new partnership and certification as a natural
progression for us," said Bray Becker, president of BLaCKSMITH. "Expanding
our training curriculum to include WebObjects programming makes us more
valuable to our clients on all fronts so we're delighted to have been
selected by Apple as its new training partner."

As a certified training partner for WebObjects, BLaCKSMITH has exclusive
training rights in the Washington, D.C. area and the opportunity to conduct
private classes in North America. Individuals can sign up for BLaCKSMITH's
