Apple To Announce Software Strategy at Worldwide Developer Conference

CUPERTINO, California-April 9, 1998-Apple Computer, Inc. today announced
that Steve Jobs Interim CEO will outline Apple's software strategy during
his opening keynote at Apple's 1998 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC)
in mid-May. The five day developer conference will cover all aspects of
Apple's technology and business, including Mac OS, Rhapsody, QuickTime,
ColorSync, AppleScript, WebObjects, marketing initiatives and future
hardware directions.

Apple's WWDC runs from May 11-15 at the San Jose Convention Center in San
Jose, California. Developers worldwide can register for the conference at
www.apple.com/developer/wwdc

"At WWDC we are planning to announce Apple's software strategy to the
worldwide community of Macintosh developers," said Steve Jobs, Apple's
interim CEO. "We think this is a meeting developers won't want to miss."

Cost & Registration
The cost of the five day conference is U.S. $1,045 per attendee. Developers
wishing to attend one day of the conference can do so for U.S. $500. Global
in nature, Apple1s 1998 WWDC will feature Japanese and European language
translation of keynotes and tracks for the first time, to cater for the
large number of international developers expected to attend.
