FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OAKVILLE, Ontario--November 18, 1996--Water's Edge Software announced
that delivery of its visual programming tool for Macintosh computers,
code named "Anthem," is expected to debut in mid 1997. A company
spokesperson stated that the project's rescheduling from the end of 1996
is due entirely to the development and deployment of a recent upgrade
that served as an interim step towards visual programming.

When it is released, Anthem will let developers easily design an
application's user interface using familiar drawing tools, then in
seconds, generate the necessary components for that application to be
realized. Anthem will leverage the power of Tools Plus libraries to
create applications with a world-class look and feel. Water's Edge
stresses that unlike traditional source code and framework generators,
Anthem will generate a minimum of code, and that it will be simple to
modify and maintain.

Anthem will be available bundled with Tools Plus libraries, or separately
for those who want to license the libraries alone and possibly augment
them with the visual programming tool later. Although no prices have been
announced yet, Water's Edge said that registered developers who have
Tools Plus 3.x libraries (the current version is 3.1), will be able to
upgrade to Anthem for the difference in price between their current
license and the new Tools Plus/Anthem bundle, thereby benefiting from the
savings of the bundled price.

Water's Edge Software is working aggressively to deliver Anthem as soon
as possible and says it will initially issue a "developer release"
followed by a series of free upgrades until the software is certified as
production ready.
