Marathon Computer Announces Horizontal G5 Rackmount

NASHVILLE, TN - July 2004 - Marathon Computer Begins Shipping 6U Horizontal
Rackmount for G4 Power Mac

Aware that many of their rackmount customers would like a space-saving
alternative to the existing 12U Vertical G5 Rackmount, Marathon Computer
Inc., has announced the arrival of a rackmount solution for the G5 that fits
the computer in a 19" rack horizontally, in only 6U.

"Now, the G5 can fit in the same amount of rack space as a G4," said
Marathon spokesman David Soch. "Sometimes the most ingenious solution is
also the most obvious. We just turned it sideways. The Superdrives that come
preinstalled in G5s have clips factory-built into the disc trays for
sideways operation."

In the new G5 Horizontal Rackmount, Apple's aluminum-finish G5 case rides on
ball-bearing sliderails for easy access to the interior of the case and to
the rear panel connections.

Like all of Marathon's other popular rackmount solutions, the G5 Horizontal
Rackmount is an end-user-installable kit, with illustrated step-by-step
installation instructions.

G5 Horizontal Rackmount features:

- Strong, lightweight aluminum and steel construction
- Special clamps hold the G5 securely in place
- Ball-bearing, telescoping sliderails allow easy access to the
case interior and to rear panel connections
- Knurled thumbscrews lock the deck closed
- Adjusts to rack depths from 21" to 34", front to rear rail
- Only 6U tall, including sliderails
- Easy installation with detailed instructions
