MacRabbit announces Espresso web development solution for Mac OS X

MacRabbit has announced Espresso, a new web development solution
targeted for a late 2008 release. It's the "big brother" of CSSEdit,
the company's style sheet editor. Whereas CSSEdit tackles CSS
editing, Espresso tackles the entire web development workflow with
editing, a streamlined workspace, extensive publishing tools and
real-time previewing.

Espresso aims to streamline modern Web development workflows into one
focused app, says Jan Van Boghout of MacRabbit. Projects start out
with an organized one-window workspace, providing access to files,
publishing and more. From there, you have freedom in customizing your
environment: filter files, reordering your most used items or
dragging off tabs into their own window.

While Espresso will ship with full-featured support for HTML, XML,
CSS and JavaScript, its core was designed to be extended. With Sugars
(plugins), any language can be supported, says Van Boghout.

MacRabbit added complete server syncing tools in an interface. You
can update, merge or mirror your projects to SFTP, FTP or S3 and
never forget to upload a file again, Van Boghout says.

Espresso 1.0 is due to ship in November; MacRabbit is seeking testers
and Sugar developers. More information about the testing process can
be found at http://macrabbit.com/espresso/signup/.

A preview of Espresso is available at http://macrabbit.com/espresso/.
Please note that the previewed complete feature set is subject to
change; Espresso will require Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
