MacPractice, SUNI Medical Imaging offer native MacSensor solution

MacPractice (http://www.macpractice.com), developer of MacPractice
DDS, and Suni Medical, Imaging, a manufacturer of intraoral sensors
for use in dentistry, have collaborated to deliver a new MacSensor
solution, comprised of the recently introduced SuniRay sensor and
MacPractice DR (Digital Radiography/Photo) software, version 3.5.1.

The SuniRay sensor uses the latest CMOS technology to deliver
exceptionally high image quality with maximum diagnostic
capabilities, says MacPractice President Mark Hollis. SuniRay's ergon
omic design and rounded corners ensure easy positioning and optimal
patient comfort, he adds.
Suni's plug and play sensors are purportedly easy to install and move
from treatment room to treatment room. Since one size does not fit
all patients, a smaller size is available for children and adults
with special anatomical considerations.

A SuniRay Size #2 and #2 sensor kit including installation and
training is US$13,495 for Mac users. MacPractice DDS users will also
need to purchase MacPractice DR with the SuniRay Interface with which
they may capture, view and manipulate images on every computer for
which they have a license for MacPractice DDS. Through Dec. 31, 2008,
MacPractice is offering MacPractice DR to SuniRay buyers for $1,500
plus $200 for annual support and updates, a savings of $1,000, and
Suni is discounting a SuniRay sensor kit by 10 percent, an additional
savings of $1,350.
