Macintosh Explorer 2.0

Macintosh Explorer 2.0

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Rage Software Announces Macintosh Explorer 2.0

Toronto, Canada - April 24, 2001 - Rage Software Announces Macintosh
Explorer 2.0. A major upgrade to the popular file management tool and file
browser for the Mac.

Macintosh Explorer is a fully featured file browser for the Mac. It allows
users to quickly and easily find their files and folders. Its easy to use
find file feature allows you to search your hard drives right from the main
window using different search criteria. All the built in features in
Macintosh Explorer make it a more convenient choice for file browsing.

Among many advanced features, Macintosh Explorer includes the ability to
view and edit extended info and content of files including all invisible
files and folders. Other features allow you to find and delete unused
files, backup important files and folders, and navigate your hard drives in
an Internet browser like style.

Macintosh Explorer's interface and features are very customizable. It
includes the ability to tile a background pattern, change the background
colour or give Macintosh Explorer an Aqua look. Buttons and functions are
also customizable with a new feature in version 2.0 that allows you to
chose only the basic buttons required for file navigation.

New In This Version

Version 2.0 is a major upgrade to Macintosh Explorer and brings some
largely anticipated features. The biggest feature introduced in version 2.0
is the expansion in drag & drop. The new drag and drop support allows you
to drag and drop files into folders. Other enhancements include a new, less
cluttered interface, more preferences, improvement to the backup feature
and the ability to store up to 33 links which leave your files a click away.

This new version also brings a whole new functionality to the folder
structure of Macintosh Explorer. Hard drives are now listed in the left
folder list instead of a popup menu above it. The root volume is also now
your desktop folder and the up button's functionality has changed.

Since the preview release of Macintosh Explorer 2.0, this new version
includes a number of bug fixes and also includes better support for remote
file browsing and file names that start with carriage returns.
