iGet 2.0 for Mac OS X, Includes Spotlight Remote Search

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Five Speed Software Announces iGet 2.0 for Mac OS X, with major
enhancements including Spotlight remote search

Major update advances the state of the art in personal and workgroup Mac
file transfer

MALAGA, Spain - April 15, 2005 - Five Speed Software, Inc. today announced
iGet=81 2.0, the second major release of its next-generation file transfer
software for Mac OS X.

iGet 2.0 sports many major new features, the most notable of which is a new
remote search feature that takes full advantage of Apple's new Spotlight
technology.

The new version also boasts dozens of other new features, including
Automator integration, a Dash Board quick-connect widget, URL support, the
ability to save connection shortcuts, support for Finder labels, connecting
to custom port numbers, realtime throughput reporting, and much more.

"With iGet 1.0, we proved that file transfer doesn't have to be a clunky,
cross-platform experience if you are on the Mac," said CEO Chris Frey.
"With the 2.0 release, you start to see the fruits of iGet's unique
architecture, which enables us to build in support for innovative Mac-only
features like Spotlight, at the most basic level (in the protocol itself)."

"iGet 2.0 harnesses the power of Spotlight, Apple's amazing new search
technology, and extends that power across the LAN or across the Internet,"
said product manager Mason Mark. "Users can connect to any remote Mac and
quickly find all JPEG documents created in the past 2 weeks. Or all PDF
documents containing certain words. Users can quickly locate whatever they
need to find, without knowing exactly where it is, or even what the file
might be called."

A beta test version will be made available on April 29, 2005, alongside the
release of version 10.4 of Apple's Mac OS X operating system, with the
final version being released shortly thereafter.

About iGet

iGet is a modern and Mac-specific replacement for older file transfer tools
like (S)FTP and client-server solutions. It provides a network-oriented
file transfer tool that fully supports Mac-specific file
attributes-including resource forks, HFS metadata, custom Mac icons,
packages, aliases, Unicode file names, and more-which "least common
denominator" cross-platform protocols like FTP cannot handle.

Using a familiar Mac interface, iGet allows users to quickly transfer files
from one Mac to another. Its "zero-setup" feature allows the user to
connect to any machine running Mac OS X 10.3 or higher, without having to
install special software (not even iGet) on the remote Mac.

Other features include resumable file transfers, strong encryption,
Keychain and Zeroconf networking support, complete drag and drop support,
and more.

Pricing and Availability

The final version of iGet 2.0 will become available shortly after Apple's
Mac OS X release, and will be priced at $49.95. The update is free to all
licensed users of iGet 1.x.

Those users who haven't yet purchased iGet can save almost 50% by
purchasing now; iGet 1.1.1 is available today, from the Five Speed Software
web site. The single-copy price is US $24.95 through April 30, 2005.

Educational discounts and site license pricing are also available.
