New adaptor gives WebObjects 5 developers access to FrontBase databases.

Foothill Ranch, CA (June 12, 2001) =97FrontBase, Inc., the developers of
FrontBase, the first scalable relational database for Mac OS X, today
announced the FrontBase Adaptor for WebObjects 5, an OS X plug-in that lets
WebObjects 5 developers use FrontBase relational database servers in their
applications. FrontBase is the first outside vendor that has provided a
solution for Apple Computer=92s WebObjects 5 development platform, which was
dramatically rewritten to take advantage of pure Java.

The FrontBase Adaptor for WebObjects 5 supports all of the features of
EOModeler, such as table creation, schema synchronization, and reverse
engineering of models. This adaptor also customizes table maintenance
statements for SQL 92 compliance, giving WebObjects 5 developers the
ability to add the enterprise strength of FrontBase database to their
applications.

Pricing and Availability
The FrontBase Adaptor for WebObjects 5 is available now as a beta release,
with a full release scheduled for release in June, and will be bundled with
the FrontBase database software on its release. All FrontBase products are
available as an on-line download. Pricing for the FrontBase database
software license ranges from free deployment versions to $49,999 enterprise
wide licensing.
