New version of the Mac file transfer tool features many enhancements and fixes

TOKYO, Japan -- November 9, 2005 -- Five Speed Software, Inc. today
announced the immediate availability of iGet 2.0.1, the first update to the
second major release of the Mac file transfer tool.

The new version incorporates several user-requested enhancements, updates
the program's remote Spotlight search capabilities, and fixes several
issues discovered after the 2.0 release. This version is also the first
time iGet has been released as a Universal Binary, offering native
performance on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs.

"The user response to iGet 2 has been phenomenal, from a development
standpoint," said Mason Mark, iGet product manager. "The positive user
response has included some really thoughtful suggestions, and we're happy
to deliver the first of many updates incorporating that feedback. We've
also fixed over a dozen bugs and minor issues that were discovered after
shipping 2.0. "

"And we're happy to be able to offer native Intel support," said Ethan
Tuttle, the development manager responsible for the Intel transition.
"Although few users outside of the developer community have Intel-based
Macs right now, next year isn't so far away. And--who knows?--Apple might
be a little bit early releasing them." He added that even though iGet
sports its own network protocol, OS- and architecture-specific helper
tools, and several binary file formats, the conversion to Intel took only
about a week to complete and involved a lot more testing than actual
development time.

iGet 2.0.1 is available immediately, from the company's web site:

Complete release notes are also available. iGet will run in full-featured
demo mode for users wishing to try it out.

About iGet

iGet is a modern and Mac-specific file transfer tool. It's designed to
replace older file transfer tools, or client-server solutions which require
advance set-up. Unlike SFTP or FTP, iGet provides complete support for all
the features and goodies that Mac users expect: resource forks, HFS
metadata, custom Mac icons, packages, aliases, Unicode file names, remote
Spotlight searching, and more. Using an elegantly efficient Mac interface,
iGet allows users to quickly locate and move files from Mac to Mac. Its
innovative "zero-setup" design allows the user to connect to any machine
running Mac OS X 10.3 or higher, without having to install special software
(not even iGet) on the remote Mac. All the user needs is a copy of iGet on
her own Mac.

Pricing and Availability

iGet 2.0.1 is available immediately from the company's web site, at

avalable for multi-seat licenses. The update is free to all licensed users
of iGet 1.x or 2.x.
