FileWave is first to provide Automated Upgrades

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FileWave is first to provide Automated Upgrades to Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger
with its software patch management solution

SAN FRANCISCO, September 1, 2005 -- FileWave, the leading provider of Mac
OS X and Windows system and patch management software, today announced that
its flagship software suite, FileWave, is able to automatically upgrade
Macintosh workstations running Mac OS X v10.3.x to the new Mac OS X v10.4
Tiger.

"Initially it was considered impossible by everyone we spoke with at
Apple's World Wide Developer Conference this year," said Norbert M.
Doerner, chief development officer at FileWave. "But because we have a real
enterprise solution for Macintosh systems with unique abilities and
functions, such as our package creation feature, "FileSet Magic," and our
patch management feature, "Patch Installer," we were confident that we
would find a solution."

"Our engineers did an amazing job enabling this complex procedure, knowing
that no other solution in the market currently allows the automated upgrade
of a live system to Mac OS X Tiger," said Ben Forsyth, CEO of FileWave
(USA), Inc. "This capability will save our customers countless hours of
tedious manual labor and also a lot of money, as it takes on average one
hour for a manual upgrade on one system. With FileWave, the live automated
upgrade to Mac OS X Tiger takes just a few minutes on multiple systems."

Current FileWave customers will be able to learn the process of this major
upgrade to Mac OS X Tiger in a workshop to be held in several cities
worldwide in the following weeks. More information will be available on
FileWave's Customer Board Web site.Businesses not using FileWave will be
able to license the software with special pricing until the end of this
year, or they can pay a fixed usage fee for a one-time upgrade to Mac OS X
Tiger within a limited timeframe. For more information about these offers
contact sales@filewave.com. About FileWaveFileWave develops, markets, and
integrates the software management tools FileWave and Asset Trustee. These
