FairCom Macintosh Server V6.10

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FairCom" releases new version of FairCom Macintosh Server V6.10

Offering increased security, functionality and new ASP Development Kit
(SDK), for Macintosh: with support for Apple's new Mac OS X; includes
support for ADSP, SPX and TCP/IP

Columbia, MO February 12, 2001-FairCom" Corporation announced the latest
release of its FairCom Macintosh database Server with increased security,
enhanced portability and functionality, new server administrative controls,
and a special FairCom Server SDK for Macintosh, which allows Mac developers
to create application-specific servers. This new server offers direct
support for Apple Mac OS X, and includes support for ADSP, SPX and TCP/IP
protocols.

Using FairCom's Macintosh Server side SDK, Macintosh developers can
decrease network traffic and increase performance by moving functions to
the server. "We've seen a surge in application service provider solutions
and web development using the FairCom Server SDK for Macintosh," explains
Randal Hoff, FairCom's Director of Business Development. "This control
allows the programmer to develop unique security requirements, complex data
calculations, and custom sorts," says Hoff. "With FairCom's proven
stability in the database market, this technology offers an especially
attractive solution in the web and embedded market segments where
programmer control, a small footprint and attractive price often drive the
database decision."

Other new features of the FairCom Macintosh Server V6.10 include custom and
communication layer encryption, CRC checks, segmented dynamic dump support,
and expanded level support within the Server's internal index logic.
Although the FairCom Macintosh Server has always offered simple
configuration and maintenance, this new release offers additional
diagnostic and administration features that make it an ideal solution for
situations where maintenance-free operation is required.

This version of the FairCom Server includes new or enhanced support for the
following platforms: Mac OS X, Solaris V7 and V8, HP UX 11, Lynx OS V3,
NetBSD, Apple Linux, Sun Linux, SCO UnixWare 7, Data General Aviion,
Windows ME, and Windows 2000. FairCom has offered Macintosh support since
1985, and in total, the FairCom Server supports over 25 different platforms.

FairCom created Access Manager for Digital Research in 1979 and released
its first true application development tool, the original c-tree file
handler, that same year. Today c-tree Plus is running in over 100 CPU/OS
environments in more than 98 countries worldwide. FairCom Server technology
is utilized by such noted organizations as: McGraw-Hill, Federal Express
and General Foods Corporation. Companies like Computer Associates and Sharp
Corporation have embedded FairCom's c-tree within vertical market products
and licensed FairCom Server technology for OEM uses.

The FairCom Macintosh Servers retail from $745 to $5,795, depending upon
the number of users. The servers are licensed on a per server machine basis
and include the FairCom Macintosh SDK. OEM distribution and source are
available. For further information, contact FairCom US at 573-445-6833,
