Excel Software Offers Trial Edition Downloads of Developer Tools

Placitas, NM -- October 3, 2006 - Excel Software updated the
QuickCRC, QuickUML and QuickHelp tools for Windows and Mac OS X
software developers. The updates enhance the user interface and
productivity plus add free trial editions at www.excelsoftware.com.
QuickCRC Windows 3.0.3 or QuickCRC Mac OS X 1.0.1 is used for agile
modeling of object-oriented software using CRC cards. QuickUML 2.0.1
for Windows or Mac OS X implements UML models with code generation.
QuickHelp 2.0.5 for Windows or Mac OS X provides help authoring and
deployment of application help on Windows 95 to XP, Mac OS 9, Mac OS
X and Linux.

QuickCRC automates responsibility driven design with CRC cards and
design scenarios. Enter data for each object into CRC cards or drag
attributes, responsibilities or collaborations between cards for
instant design changes. Define and simulate scenarios to ensure the
design works. Design data can be exported to MacA&D, WinA&D or
QuickUML to generate a UML model or CRC cards can be captured from
source code with the MacTranslator or WinTranslator reengineering
tools.

QuickUML is a UML design tool that supports a highly integrated, core
set of UML models that can be applied to almost any object-oriented
project. A design project is presented in a tabbed window that
includes use cases, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, data
dictionary and source code. C++, Java, Delphi and Objective-C code
can be generated from the class model. QuickUML implements a tightly
integrated environment where each use case links to models and code
and design changes are reflected across the project. The focus and
ease-of-use of this tool makes it well suited for agile development
methods and extreme programming.

QuickHelp is the easy way to create, maintain and deploy application
help. Help information resides in a single XML file with royalty-free
QuickHelp Viewers available for Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
QuickHelp has Contents and Index panels, an automatic search field
plus help topics formatted with images, tables, colored text, user
initiated actions, conditional topics, hypertext links and context
sensitive help from applications.

A single license of QuickCRC is $295, QuickUML is $295 or QuickHelp
is $195 for Windows or Mac OS X. A free download is available to
customers with the latest major release. Site licensing information,
product descriptions and online ordering are available at
www.excelsoftware.com.

For over a decade, Excel Software has provided Windows, Macintosh and
Linux tools to thousands of developers worldwide. Capabilities
include system modeling & simulation, requirements management,
