Escape Studios (http://www.escapestudios.com) has announced that its
new New York facility is offering a five-day Pixar's RenderMan
Fundamentals course. Taught by Escape tutor, Bhamik Patel, Pixar's
RenderMan Fundamentals course will provide students with a foundation
in the primary rendering technology used in film, visual effects and
animation production.

Pixar's RenderMan Fundamentals course runs Monday through Friday,
Nov. 17-21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Due to limited availability it's
recommended that interested students register quickly.

Pixar's RenderMan Fundamentals course begins with an introduction to
the software, including the development of RenderMan, its primary
capabilities, its impact on feature film development and how it
differs from other renderers on the market. The course continues with
an overview of the tools included in RenderMan Studio, ending with an
exercise where the students apply all of the techniques that they've
learned to solve problems typically encountered in a production
environment. All RenderMan Fundamentals course attendees will also
receive access to the online courseware, Pixar's official learning
tool.

The Pixar's RenderMan Fundamentals course runs Monday through Friday,
