EasyFind, the Mac OS X services HotService and WordService

UPDATES FOR EASYFIND, SERVICEPACK; NEW PDF2RTFSERVICE RELEASED

Coeur d'Alene (Idaho, USA), 5th of May, 2005 -- DEVONtechnologies LLC
releases updates for its freeware file find application EasyFind, the Mac
OS X services HotService and WordService and launches a brand-new filter
service, PDF2RTFService.

EasyFind 3.4.1 displays the results with striped background for better
readability and fixes some bugs, and WordService 2.6 adds support for
styled text as well as new and revised commands for stripping attachments
and links from rich text and for reformatting oddly formatted text. This
makes working with WordService in rich-text-aware applications such as
TextEdit, Pages or Mail even more comfortable.

Besides activating keyboard shortcuts in Cocoa applications without having
to open the Services sub-menu at least once, HotService 2.0 now also makes
the Services menu accessible through a new top level menu next to the
Window menu. With HotService 2.0, services are now just one click away and
not longer buried in the depth of applications' main menus.

Finally, the brand-new PDF2RTFService 1.0 allows all Cocoa applications
that can read RTF files to open PDF, PostScript and EPS files as styled and
paginated rich text documents. PDF2RTFService requires Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger
as it makes heavy use of new functionalities in Quartz.

EasyFind 3.4.1 and HotService run on Mac OS X 10.2 or later, WordService
needs at least Mac OS X 10.3 and PDF2RTFService requires on Mac OS X 10.4
Tiger. All four applications/servies are immediately available for
downloading from www.devon-technologies.com and are free for non-commercial
use.
