FROM STANDARD WORD PROCESSING SOFTWARE

Driver Lets Mac Users Print Out Specialized Jobs On Small Desktop Smart
Label Printers from Seiko Instruments

TORRANCE, Calif. - May 23, 2005 - Business and home/office products
supplier Seiko Instruments USA, the pioneer of the one-label-at-a-time
"smart" printer, has released a Mac software driver for the company's
flagship line of Smart Label Printers. The new driver allows Mac users to
print labels, nametags and other specialized jobs from virtually any
standard word processing software application, such as Microsoft Word or
FileMaker Pro.

"We built this driver from the ground up to give all members of the Mac
community a handy tool to make single labels, nametags and other
specialized desktop printing jobs simple to do and quick to perform,"
Dennis Cox, director of sales and marketing, Business and Home/Office
Products Division, Seiko Instruments USA, said.

Seiko Instruments Smart Label Printers allow the user to create one label
at a time for envelopes, media storage, bar code printing and a variety of
other office and home applications. The small footprint desktop printers
also make great nametags and ID badges for parties, trade shows,
conferences and other business or social events. Each printer comes
complete with Smart Label Software for fast, easy production of custom
labels featuring a variety of fonts and graphics.
